Telangana Government Reorganises Police Administration, Creates Four New Commissionerates

Hyderabad, December 30:
The Telangana government on Monday announced a major reorganisation of its police administration, creating four new police commissionerates to enhance law enforcement and improve policing efficiency across the state. The move is aimed at strengthening the administrative framework, streamlining operations, and ensuring faster response times in urban and semi-urban areas. Officials stated that the restructuring will allow better allocation of resources and improved coordination among police units to tackle crime more effectively.

Political observers noted that this reorganisation reflects the state government’s commitment to public safety and modernisation of policing infrastructure. The creation of new commissionerates is expected to address localised law and order challenges, empower police leadership at the district level, and provide citizens with improved access to policing services. Analysts also highlighted that such administrative reforms could play a crucial role in boosting confidence among residents and enhancing the overall security environment in Telangana.
