Officials highlighted the government’s efforts to promote Shivrajpur as a sustainable and premium tourism destination, improving infrastructure, safety measures, and eco-friendly facilities for visitors.

The department stated that the continued focus on Shivrajpur has already boosted tourist footfall and created new employment opportunities for local residents. With further investments and public-private partnerships planned, the government aims to strengthen Gujarat’s coastal tourism and enhance the state’s position as a leading tourism hub in the country.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday said that the reforms introduced by the central government have positively impacted the lives of people across the country. He further said that welfare schemes launched by the government have ensured direct benefits to farmers, women, youth, and the poor. Thakur added that transparent governance and technology-driven reforms have strengthened service delivery and boosted public trust, asserting that the government remains committed to inclusive development and long-term growth.

The Supreme Court on Monday expressed frustration over the repeated filing of multiple Special Investigation Reports (SIR) pleas in ongoing cases, highlighting concerns about judicial time and efficiency. Senior judges noted that such repeated submissions can slow down proceedings and complicate the administration of justice.

The bench urged petitioners and their legal teams to consolidate their pleas and avoid unnecessary filings, stressing the importance of focused and well-documented submissions. Court officials emphasized that the judiciary remains committed to ensuring fair hearings while discouraging practices that burden the legal system and delay final resolutions.

New Delhi | December 9, 2025:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Oman next week as part of efforts to strengthen India’s strategic, defence, and economic cooperation with the Gulf nation. The visit marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Oman, one of India’s oldest partners in West Asia.

During the visit, discussions are expected on energy security, maritime cooperation, trade, and defence ties. Officials said the visit will further enhance India’s strategic presence in the region, especially after Oman granted access to the Duqm Port for the Indian Navy.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan conducted a detailed review of cyclone-related damage and ongoing development works in the Avanigadda region. During his visit, he interacted with affected residents, assessed crop loss, damaged houses, and infrastructure destruction caused by the recent cyclone, and expressed concern over the difficulties faced by local people.

He directed district officials to ensure immediate distribution of compensation to farmers, speedy repair of damaged roads, restoration of electricity and water supply, and effective implementation of rehabilitation measures. The Deputy CM assured the public that the government is fully committed to standing by the affected families and that no negligence in relief operations will be tolerated. He also ordered regular monitoring of development works to ensure transparency and timely completion.
