New Delhi | November 28, 2025 — President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday commended the Indian Army for its unwavering dedication and vital role in strengthening the nation’s security and sovereignty. Addressing a ceremonial event in the capital, the President lauded the courage, discipline, and sacrifices of soldiers who continue to safeguard the country under challenging conditions across borders and internal security fronts.
She also highlighted the Army’s growing contribution to disaster relief, humanitarian assistance, and national development, calling it a symbol of service and resilience. Emphasising the need for modernization and self-reliance in defence, the President expressed confidence that the Indian Army will continue to evolve with advanced technology and indigenous equipment while upholding its proud traditions and commitment to the nation.
