New Delhi, November 8:
A Delhi court has deferred its order on whether to frame charges against former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in the land-for-jobs case. The case pertains to allegations that land parcels were given to Lalu and his family in exchange for jobs in the Railways during his tenure as Union Railway Minister. The court stated that it required additional time to review submissions made by both the prosecution and defence before passing an order.
The adjournment means the accused will have to wait longer for clarity on the next stage of proceedings. The case, which also names members of Lalu’s family and several others, has been closely followed due to its political significance. The court is expected to announce the next hearing date soon, keeping the spotlight firmly on the high-profile investigation.
