Mumbai, December 27:
Senior politician Prakash Mahajan on Saturday described himself as the “only Hindutva leader in Maharashtra” upon joining (party name truncated; specify if needed). Mahajan said his move reflects a commitment to promoting Hindutva values while addressing local development issues.
Mahajan added that his political shift aims to consolidate support among voters who prioritise identity politics and cultural pride. He said his new party alignment will focus on grassroots mobilisation and community engagement.
Political observers said the statement may influence voter perceptions in key constituencies, particularly as parties seek to strengthen their ideological appeal ahead of state elections.
Rivals criticised the claim, asserting that Hindutva values are present across multiple parties, not limited to any single individual.
