Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): Millions of devotees from across the country gathered at the Tirumala hill shrine on the auspicious occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. The sacred festival, considered one of the most important days in the Vaishnavite calendar, witnessed an overwhelming influx of pilgrims since the early hours, with devotees waiting in long queues for darshan through the revered Vaikunta Dwaram. Chanting of hymns and devotional slogans filled the temple town as the spiritual fervour reached its peak.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) made elaborate arrangements to manage the massive crowd, deploying additional security personnel, medical teams, sanitation workers, and volunteers to ensure smooth movement and safety of pilgrims. Special queue complexes, drinking water facilities, free food distribution, and accommodation services were put in place, while traffic and crowd flow were closely monitored. TTD officials stated that all necessary measures were taken to ensure a peaceful and orderly darshan, as devotees marked the holy occasion with deep faith and devotion.
