Chennai, December 5, 2025: The founder of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) has announced a statewide padayatra to protest against the rising drug consumption in Tamil Nadu. The march aims to create mass awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and to demand strict action against drug trafficking networks.
Party leaders said the padayatra will pass through several districts and involve students, youth, and social organisations. The movement is expected to put pressure on the government to strengthen enforcement, rehabilitation measures, and preventive education across the state.
