Intelligence-Led Operation Ends in Encounter; Six Maoists Killed in AP

Visakhapatnam, November 19, 2025 — At least six Maoists were killed in a fresh encounter with security forces in the forested region of Andhra Pradesh. The clash reportedly began during a combing operation, after which an intense exchange of fire broke out as the Maoists attempted to escape deeper into the terrain.

Officials said the operation was based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of armed cadres in the area. Weapons and materials have been recovered from the site, and search operations are continuing to ensure no remnants of the group remain in the vicinity. The incident marks one of the most significant anti-Maoist operations in the state this year.
