Kota, Rajasthan | November 26, 2025: A massive fire broke out at an electric vehicle (EV) showroom in Kota on Tuesday, reducing several electric bikes to ashes and causing extensive property damage. The blaze reportedly started in the early hours, triggering panic in the surrounding area as thick smoke billowed across the locality. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and battled the flames for over an hour before bringing the situation under control.
According to preliminary reports, no casualties have been reported, but losses are estimated to run into several lakhs of rupees. Officials suspect a short circuit as the possible cause of the fire, though a detailed investigation is underway. The incident has once again raised serious concerns over fire safety measures in EV showrooms, especially those housing high-capacity lithium-ion batteries.
