Delhi’s Air Quality Deteriorates to ‘Very Poor’ with AQI at 333

December 6, 2025 | New Delhi

Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) soared to 333 today, placing the city firmly in the ‘Very Poor’ category. Authorities have issued health advisories, urging residents—especially children, the elderly, and those with respiratory issues—to limit outdoor activities.

Environmental experts attributed the high pollution levels to a combination of vehicular emissions, industrial activities, and stubble burning in nearby states. The government has ramped up monitoring and mitigation measures, including increased patrolling and air quality alerts.
