Cyclone Threat Weakens as System Skirts Andhra Coast, Rain Alert Eased

Visakhapatnam, December 2, 2025 — The weather situation across Andhra Pradesh improved on Tuesday as the cyclonic system weakened and moved away from the state’s coastline. Authorities confirmed that the threat of heavy damage has reduced significantly, bringing relief to coastal districts that were on high alert over the past two days.

Moderate rainfall was recorded in parts of coastal and north Andhra districts, while strong winds remained limited. Disaster management teams continue to stay on standby as a precaution, even as normal life gradually resumes. Officials advised fishermen to remain cautious, though major disruptions are no longer expected.
