New Delhi, November 5, 2025Pakistan has reportedly denied entry to a group of Hindu pilgrims who were scheduled to visit Nankana Sahib for Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrations. According to accounts shared by visitors, officials allegedly told the devotees to visit their own temples instead of coming to Sikh religious sites, sparking outrage among Hindu communities and religious bodies in India. The incident has raised concerns over religious discrimination and violation of long-standing pilgrimage protocols between the two nations.
India has strongly objected to the alleged behaviour of Pakistani authorities, calling it disrespectful to religious sentiments and contrary to cultural exchange commitments. Religious organisations and community leaders urged both governments to ensure that holy sites remain open to all faiths and to uphold mutual respect for cross-border pilgrimages that foster harmony and cultural ties between people.
