
New Delhi | November 28, 2025 — Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday departed for Raipur in Chhattisgarh to attend the three-day DGP–IGP Conference, a key annual event focused on strengthening India’s internal security framework. Top police leadership from across the country, including Directors General and Inspector Generals, are participating in the high-level deliberations.
The conference is expected to focus on major security challenges such as terrorism, left-wing extremism, cybercrime, border management, and modernisation of the police forces. Shah will interact with senior officers and review law-and-order strategies, intelligence coordination, and policing reforms. The event is seen as critical for shaping future security policies and enhancing cooperation among central and state forces.
