New Delhi | Dec 3, 2025 — Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav on Friday directed concerned authorities to accelerate the implementation of key environmental and conservation initiatives across the country. During a high-level review meeting in the national capital, Yadav stressed the need for strict timelines, accountability, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure faster execution of pending projects.
The minister highlighted that delayed implementation weakens the impact of major climate, wildlife protection, and pollution-control programmes. He instructed officials to remove procedural bottlenecks, improve field-level monitoring, and ensure optimal utilisation of allocated funds. The push is being seen as part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen India’s environmental governance and meet national as well as global sustainability commitments.
