Vijayawada, December 3, 2025 — The Andhra Pradesh government announced a major green transport initiative, planning the rollout of 1,000 electric buses along with the installation of 5,000 charging stations across the state starting tomorrow. The move is part of the state’s ambitious push towards sustainable and eco-friendly public transportation.
Officials highlighted that the EV infrastructure will reduce carbon emissions, improve urban mobility, and promote clean energy adoption. Authorities also emphasized that this large-scale deployment aligns with India’s broader goals under the National Electric Mobility Mission and will create job opportunities in EV operations and maintenance.
