
Tokyo, April 15, 2026: India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated that India will actively work toward strengthening supply chain resilience amid ongoing disruptions in global energy markets. Speaking at the AZEC Plus Meeting, Jaishankar emphasized the need for greater cooperation among partner countries to ensure stable, secure, and sustainable energy supplies. He highlighted that recent geopolitical tensions and market volatility have exposed vulnerabilities in global supply chains, making resilience a key priority for nations.
He further underlined India’s commitment to diversifying energy sources, enhancing strategic partnerships, and accelerating the transition toward cleaner energy systems. Jaishankar noted that collaborative efforts under the AZEC framework would play a crucial role in addressing supply disruptions and promoting long-term energy security.
