Amaravati, January 2:
The Centre has approved a major greenfield highway corridor aimed at significantly strengthening road connectivity between Rayalaseema districts and neighbouring regions. The project is expected to reduce travel time, improve freight movement and enhance overall transport efficiency, particularly for industrial and agricultural goods.
Officials said the highway will also provide faster and smoother access for pilgrims travelling to Tirumala and other major religious destinations. The project is part of a broader infrastructure development push intended to improve connectivity, boost tourism and support long-term economic growth in Andhra Pradesh.
