Govt Asks Airlines To Strictly Comply With Passenger Facilitation Requirements Amid Fog-Related Disruptions

New Delhi, December 20:
The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Saturday urged all airlines to strictly adhere to passenger facilitation guidelines as fog-related weather disruptions continue to affect flight operations across several parts of India. Authorities emphasised ensuring passenger safety, timely communication, and adequate support during delays or cancellations.

Officials said airlines must provide clear information regarding flight schedules, arrange necessary accommodations, and assist stranded passengers in line with the government’s regulations. The advisory comes as dense fog has led to reduced visibility, affecting multiple airports and causing operational challenges.

The ministry stressed the importance of coordination between airlines, airport operators, and air traffic control to minimise inconvenience to passengers. Authorities assured that monitoring is ongoing and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure smooth airport operations despite adverse weather conditions.
