CM Chandrababu Naidu Seeks Centre’s Support to Build World-Class Sports Ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged the Central Government to extend full support for developing a world-class sports ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. During a high-level review meeting on sports infrastructure, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for modern stadiums, advanced training centres, and district-level sports facilities to nurture young talent and improve the state’s performance at the national and international levels.

The state government has submitted proposals for establishing a world-class badminton training academy in the capital region, a multi-sports complex in Guntur, and water sports hubs along the Krishna River. The CM stated that sports development will not only encourage youth participation but also generate employment opportunities and boost sports tourism. He reiterated that Andhra Pradesh aims to emerge as a leading sports destination in the coming years.
