CPI General Secretary D Raja launched a sharp attack on the BJP and RSS ahead of the special Lok Sabha discussion marking the 150th anniversary of a key national milestone. He accused the ruling dispensation of attempting to distort history and selectively interpret the freedom movement for political gains.
D Raja said that Parliament should be used as a platform for meaningful discussion based on historical truth and democratic values. He also urged opposition parties to remain united during the debate and ensure that the contributions of all sections of society to the nation’s development are properly acknowledged.
