
New Delhi | December 4, 2025 — Union Minister Jitender Singh on Wednesday stated that the Atomic Energy Bill is in its advanced stages of preparation, with comments and inputs from various ministries being incorporated. The legislation aims to strengthen India’s nuclear framework and streamline regulatory processes for the country’s atomic energy sector.
The minister emphasized that the bill seeks to enhance safety, promote research, and facilitate development of nuclear infrastructure while ensuring strict adherence to international norms. Once finalized, it is expected to provide a comprehensive legal framework for India’s expanding nuclear energy programs and reinforce the nation’s position in global atomic energy governance.
