
Vijayawada, November 29, 2025 — Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Friday said that the state capital Amaravati is on track to emerge as a major financial hub, with 15 leading banks and public-sector insurance companies finalising plans to set up their headquarters in the city. He said the initiative is being developed with strong support from the Centre and will significantly strengthen the state’s economic ecosystem.
The Deputy CM added that the project is expected to attract investments worth over ₹1,300 crore and generate employment for nearly 6,500 people. He also expressed gratitude to the farmers who contributed their land under the land-pooling scheme, stating that their trust and cooperation have laid the foundation for Amaravati’s future growth.
