Kevadia, October 31, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made history by uniting the nation. Speaking on the occasion of Patel Jayanti, he said that every Indian should draw inspiration from Patel’s vision and remain united, keeping away from divisive forces. Modi emphasized that, just like Independence Day and Republic Day, the nation celebrates National Unity Day with pride to honor Patel’s contribution. He further noted that Naxalism has become a threat to national integrity, and the government is determined to eliminate it completely.
Criticizing the Congress Party, Modi said that it has forgotten Patel’s foresight, and Jawaharlal Nehru failed to respect Patel’s views. He remarked that because of Congress’s mistakes, a portion of Kashmir was occupied by Pakistan, and accused the Opposition of playing politics alongside infiltrators. Modi added that through Operation Sindoor, the entire world has witnessed India’s strength and resolve.
