
New Delhi, November 13, 2025: The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) has lauded India’s Vantara initiative for setting a global benchmark in wildlife conservation and rehabilitation. The recognition comes as Vantara continues to provide advanced medical care, rescue operations, and safe habitats for hundreds of endangered species across the country.
Officials from CITES highlighted India’s commitment to biodiversity preservation and ethical wildlife management through the project. The initiative, backed by state-of-the-art facilities and community engagement, has not only improved animal welfare standards but also strengthened India’s position as a leader in sustainable environmental stewardship.
