Washington D.C., November 13, 2025 — The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reiterated that the country will continue using its existing visa programmes, including the H-1B visa, which allows skilled foreign professionals to work in the United States. Addressing recent concerns about policy changes, DHS officials clarified that the visa system remains a vital tool for attracting global talent, particularly in the technology and research sectors.
A senior DHS spokesperson stated, “We’re going to keep using our visa programmes effectively to strengthen the American workforce and economy.” The department emphasized that while regulatory improvements are being considered to enhance transparency and prevent misuse, there are no plans to discontinue or restrict the H-1B programme, bringing relief to thousands of Indian tech professionals.
