Two Uncles Kill 22-Year-Old Nephew in Drunken Brawl Over Bihar Election Result

In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old man named Shankar Manjhi was allegedly killed by his two maternal uncles after an argument over the Bihar election verdict escalated into a violent, alcohol-fueled brawl. The altercation turned physical, with the brothers dragging Shankar into a nearby muddy area, pinning him down, and fatally assaulting him.

Police said preliminary investigation revealed that Shankar supported the RJD, while his uncles backed a rival party. After the attack, Shankar was rushed to the district hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The uncles, Rajesh Manjhi (25) and Toofani Manjhi (27), have since been arrested and reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
