Washington, Nov 7 — Former US President Donald Trump praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “a great man and a friend of mine,” while hinting at a potential visit to India next year. Speaking to reporters, Trump highlighted the strong personal rapport he shares with Modi and said he would “love to visit India again,” suggesting that plans could take shape if circumstances align.
Trump also recalled the grand reception he received during his 2020 visit, including the “Namaste Trump” event in Ahmedabad, describing it as one of the most memorable welcomes of his presidency. Political observers note that a visit in 2026 could further strengthen US-India relations, especially at a time when cooperation between the two countries continues to expand in trade, security, and technology.
