Sri Lanka Cricket on Tuesday announced its squad for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, naming a balanced group of young players who impressed during domestic tournaments and age-group international matches. The selection committee said the squad was finalised after closely monitoring players’ performances, fitness levels and temperament under pressure.
Officials stated that the team features a mix of experienced Under-19 players and promising newcomers capable of adapting to different playing conditions. The management expressed confidence that the squad has the depth and skill required to compete strongly in the global tournament, adding that preparations will focus on match readiness, teamwork and mental resilience ahead of the competition.
