Washington D.C., October 23, 2025 — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned that the Knesset’s proposed plan to annex parts of the West Bank could jeopardize former President Donald Trump’s peace deal for Gaza. Speaking at a press briefing, Rubio emphasized that unilateral moves on territory could undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts and destabilize the fragile truce between Israel and Palestinian authorities. He stressed the importance of coordinated actions to maintain peace and avoid escalation in the region.
