New Delhi, December 19:
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Thursday said that the productivity during the sixth session of the 18th Lok Sabha stood at 111 per cent, reflecting effective functioning and meaningful legislative work in the House.
Birla stated that several important discussions and legislative businesses were taken up during the session, with members actively participating in debates. He emphasised that higher productivity indicates constructive engagement and adherence to parliamentary procedures.
The Speaker also appreciated the cooperation shown by members across party lines and expressed hope that future sessions would continue to uphold the dignity and democratic spirit of Parliament while addressing issues of national importance.
