PM Modi To Visit Bengal On December 20, Inaugurate NH Projects Worth Thousands Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit West Bengal on Saturday to inaugurate several national highway (NH) projects worth thousands of crore rupees, officials said. The projects are expected to enhance connectivity, promote regional development, and support economic growth in the state.

During the visit, PM Modi will review completed projects and lay the foundation for upcoming infrastructure initiatives. Officials highlighted that these projects are part of the government’s broader push to modernise road networks and improve transportation efficiency.

The visit comes amid political speculation ahead of upcoming elections, but party leaders have maintained that the focus remains on development and public welfare. Local authorities are making arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the event and adequate security for the Prime Minister.
