The Tamil Nadu police have denied permission for the December 4 rally proposed by TVK leader Vijay, citing major security concerns and the possibility of severe traffic disruption across central Chennai. Officials stated that the venue and proposed route fall within a high-density zone where large gatherings could compromise public safety.
Authorities added that the rally overlaps with multiple pre-scheduled events and ongoing civic works, making crowd management extremely challenging. TVK supporters have expressed disappointment, while Vijay’s team is expected to seek an alternative date or location as discussions with the administration continue.
