West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari reacted sharply to the announcement of a death sentence for former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, claiming that the verdict was delivered under “Pakistan’s instructions.” He alleged that the decision was influenced by external forces rather than being an independent judicial outcome.
Adhikari also described Sheikh Hasina as an open-minded and capable leader, reiterating his earlier stance that she remains the legal Prime Minister of Bangladesh despite the interim government currently in power. He criticized the authorities handling the case, suggesting the verdict reflects geopolitical pressure rather than genuine legal reasoning.
