Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan conducted a detailed review of cyclone-related damage and ongoing development works in the Avanigadda region. During his visit, he interacted with affected residents, assessed crop loss, damaged houses, and infrastructure destruction caused by the recent cyclone, and expressed concern over the difficulties faced by local people.

He directed district officials to ensure immediate distribution of compensation to farmers, speedy repair of damaged roads, restoration of electricity and water supply, and effective implementation of rehabilitation measures. The Deputy CM assured the public that the government is fully committed to standing by the affected families and that no negligence in relief operations will be tolerated. He also ordered regular monitoring of development works to ensure transparency and timely completion.

Chandrababu Naidu announced a major digital governance reform stating that from Sankranti 2026, all government services in Andhra Pradesh will be made available online through the ‘Mana Mitra’ digital platform. This historic decision aims to reduce the burden on citizens who currently depend on visiting government offices for basic certificates, welfare schemes, and official documentation.

The Chief Minister stated that this move will help eliminate middlemen, reduce corruption, and improve transparency in administration. Citizens will be able to apply for certificates, welfare benefits, and grievance redressal services from their homes using mobile phones. Officials said the system is currently undergoing testing and cyber security strengthening. The government believes this transformation will make Andhra Pradesh a national model for digital public services.

Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a sharp rise in scrub typhus cases, pushing the state into a public health emergency. According to official sources, more than 1,500 people have been infected and at least eight deaths have been reported across several districts, including rural and semi-urban areas. Hospitals are seeing a sudden influx of patients suffering from high fever, respiratory complications, and organ failure symptoms, which are commonly associated with severe scrub typhus.

In response, the state government has ordered genome sequencing of the virus samples to study its nature and possible mutations. Special medical teams have been rushed to affected villages to conduct surveys, distribute medicines, and create awareness among the people. The government has also taken disciplinary action against health officials accused of delayed reporting and negligence. Authorities have urged citizens to seek immediate medical attention if symptoms appear and avoid exposure to bushes and damp vegetation.
