Chennai, November 5, 2025:
Actor-turned-politician Vijay strongly criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for what he described as “slanderous remarks” made against him and his political outfit, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). Addressing supporters, Vijay accused the ruling DMK of attempting to undermine his party through personal attacks rather than constructive political debate. He emphasised that such comments would not deter TVK from its mission and said the people of Tamil Nadu were ready for a political change driven by transparent leadership and youth-centric governance.
Vijay asserted that the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections would be a direct contest between TVK and DMK, signalling his party’s intent to challenge the ruling government head-on. He highlighted TVK’s focus on corruption-free governance, social justice, and development, urging citizens to support a new political alternative. His bold declaration has intensified the political atmosphere in the state, setting the stage for a high-voltage electoral battle next year.
