Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid a floral tribute to Dr Harekrushna Mahtab, the first Chief Minister of Odisha, on his death anniversary, commemorating his significant contributions to the state’s political and social development. The ceremony was held at the Mahtab Smarak in Bhubaneswar, where the CM, along with senior officials and family members, offered flowers and recalled his leadership in shaping modern Odisha. Dr Mahtab, a freedom fighter and visionary leader, played a pivotal role in the state’s governance and worked tirelessly for the upliftment of marginalized communities, industrial development, and education.
The Chief Minister highlighted Dr Mahtab’s enduring legacy, noting that his dedication to public service and nation-building continues to inspire generations of leaders and citizens.
