Na Nal Raha, Na Jal Raha, Bas Desh Jal Raha: Kapil Sibal Hits Out at Centre

New Delhi, January 10:
Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Friday launched a sharp attack on the central government, using the phrase “na nal raha, na jal raha, bas desh jal raha” to criticise what he described as the Centre’s failure on key governance and welfare issues. Speaking to reporters, Sibal alleged that common citizens are struggling with rising prices, unemployment, and shrinking access to basic amenities, while the government remains focused on political rhetoric instead of real solutions. He said the situation reflects growing public distress and a widening gap between policy claims and ground realities.

Sibal further accused the government of weakening democratic institutions and diverting attention from pressing economic and social challenges. He urged the Centre to shift its focus towards people-centric governance, addressing issues such as inflation, farmers’ concerns, and social harmony. Political observers note that Sibal’s remarks add to the intensifying political discourse as opposition leaders step up criticism of the ruling dispensation, positioning themselves as voices of public concern ahead of upcoming political developments.
