Patna, November 1: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday strongly condemned the violent incident that took place in Mokama during the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, stating that such actions weaken the democratic process. Speaking to reporters in Patna, he said elections must be conducted peacefully and appealed to all political parties, workers, and citizens to maintain calm. Tejashwi demanded strict action against those involved in the violence, stressing that “there is no place for violence in Bihar’s democracy.”
He further added that Bihar has always shown strong democratic participation, and ensuring a safe voting environment is the collective responsibility of all stakeholders. Tejashwi urged the Election Commission to intervene immediately and ensure fair, transparent, and violence-free polling across the state. He said that people should be allowed to vote without fear, and the focus during elections must remain on development, employment, and public welfare—not intimidation or unrest.
