Franchise sources suggest that captain Shreyas Iyer, all-rounder Andre Russell, mystery spinner Sunil Narine, and young talent Rinku Singh are likely to be part of the retained squad. The team management reportedly aims to maintain its blend of experience and explosiveness.
On the other hand, KKR is expected to release several fringe players who couldn’t make a consistent impact in IPL 2025. Some overseas pacers and backup batters might be offloaded to restructure the bowling attack and strengthen the middle order. The franchise is also likely to pursue a specialist Indian fast bowler and a dependable finisher in the upcoming auction to bolster their championship ambitions for IPL 2026.
