Bengaluru, December 23:
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday clarified that his recent visit to a hospital was purely personal and not politically motivated, dismissing speculation about any political agenda. He emphasized that the visit was to meet patients and hospital staff and expressed concern for their well-being.
Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar said, “I have come here only to meet the patients and understand the functioning of the hospital. Politics has nothing to do with this visit.” The Deputy CM highlighted that such interactions are part of his commitment to public service and welfare, especially in the healthcare sector.
Political observers noted that Shivakumar’s statement comes amid heightened speculation regarding political activity in the state. Leaders often face scrutiny for their movements, and clarifications like these are aimed at maintaining transparency and public trust.
Officials from the hospital appreciated the visit, stating that it helped highlight the institution’s services and brought attention to ongoing healthcare challenges. Shivakumar assured that the government remains committed to strengthening public health infrastructure and patient care across Karnataka.
