JEE Main 2026 Registration Begins: Session 1 from January 21 to 30, Session 2 in April

New Delhi, November 1, 2025 — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1. Candidates aspiring to appear for the exam can apply through the official NTA website. The online submission of application forms began on October 31 and will close on November 27, 2025, with the same date set as the deadline for fee payment via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The city of examination will be announced in the first week of January 2026, ahead of the test.

The JEE Main 2026 will be conducted in two sessions — Session 1 from January 21 to 30, 2026, and Session 2 from April 1 to 10, 2026. The exam includes Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech programmes at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other participating institutions, while Paper 2 is for BArch and BPlanning courses. The results of Session 1 will be announced on February 12, 2026. Notably, JEE (Main) also serves as the eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), the gateway to admissions in the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
