Japanese authorities on Monday lifted the tsunami warning following a powerful 7.5-magnitude earthquake that struck off the country’s eastern coast. The Japan Meteorological Agency confirmed that no significant tsunami was observed, and residents in the affected areas were advised to remain cautious as aftershocks could continue.
Emergency services and local authorities conducted rapid safety checks and ensured that critical infrastructure, including transportation and communication networks, remained operational. Residents and tourists were urged to stay informed through official channels. The earthquake caused minor property damage in some regions, but no casualties have been reported so far, according to preliminary assessments.
