Panaji, Goa | December 3, 2025 — At the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) on Tuesday launched a special 50-year commemorative calendar to celebrate its golden milestone and enduring contribution to Indian cinema. The launch event brought together filmmakers, actors, and industry veterans, highlighting five decades of NFDC’s role in nurturing meaningful, parallel, and globally acclaimed cinema.
The calendar features iconic films, rare behind-the-scenes moments, celebrated directors, and landmark achievements that shaped India’s cinematic legacy. Officials said the initiative honours storytellers who brought socially relevant narratives to the forefront through NFDC-backed projects.
