AIMIM leader Waris Pathan on Thursday said that hijab and burqa are like crowns on women’s heads, asserting that wearing them is a matter of personal choice and dignity. He made the remarks while speaking on issues related to women’s rights and religious freedom.
Pathan said that women should have the freedom to decide what they wear without facing discrimination or pressure. His comments come amid ongoing debates across the country over dress codes, personal liberty and constitutional rights.
