Panaji, November 29, 2025 — Goa is gearing up for the Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections scheduled on December 20, where around 8.68 lakh voters will elect representatives for 50 seats across the state. The elections are being closely watched, as they will determine local governance and development priorities in the rural regions of Goa.
Election officials have assured that adequate arrangements are being made for free, fair, and smooth polling. Political parties and independent candidates have begun active campaigning, focusing on issues such as rural infrastructure, water supply, and public health, which are expected to shape voter decisions in the coming weeks.
