Raipur, December 1, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called for a major technological transformation in India’s policing system while addressing the national conference of Directors General of Police. He urged law enforcement agencies to aggressively adopt Artificial Intelligence, big data analytics, and integrate platforms like NATGRID to strengthen crime detection, counter-terror operations, and national security.
Emphasising that criminals are using advanced digital tools, PM Modi said policing too must stay “two steps ahead” through innovation and coordination. He highlighted that tech-driven policing will not only improve response time but also enhance transparency, efficiency, and public trust in the security system.
