Former Real Madrid defender Raphaël Varane expressed strong backing for his ex-boss Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the Italian’s expected appointment as Brazil’s national team head coach. Varane praised Ancelotti’s tactical acumen and experience, saying he “knows how to prepare players to perform at the right time,” especially on the biggest stages.
Varane, who played under Ancelotti during his first stint at Real Madrid, argued that if Ancelotti could win trophies such as the Champions League, he’s capable of replicating that success with Brazil.
