New Delhi, January 12:
A Dubai-bound Air India flight was diverted back to Delhi on Sunday after the aircraft developed a technical glitch mid-air, airline sources said. The flight, which had taken off from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, returned as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety.
All passengers onboard were reported safe, and the aircraft landed without any incident. Air India officials said the diversion was carried out in line with standard operating procedures after the crew detected a technical issue during the flight. Passengers were later provided assistance, and alternative arrangements were made to help them continue their journey to Dubai.
The airline has stated that the aircraft will undergo detailed technical inspection and necessary maintenance before being cleared for further operations. The incident caused temporary inconvenience to passengers but did not disrupt airport operations.
