New Delhi, November 13, 2025 — The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has officially launched its first interstate electric bus service connecting Delhi and Sonipat, marking a major milestone in the region’s push toward sustainable public transport. The new e-bus route aims to provide commuters with a clean, quiet, and comfortable travel experience while reducing carbon emissions and fuel dependence.
According to DTC officials, the e-buses will operate at regular intervals throughout the day, featuring air-conditioning, GPS tracking, and digital ticketing systems. The initiative aligns with Delhi’s broader vision to expand its green mobility network and promote eco-friendly travel options for daily interstate commuters. More routes connecting nearby NCR cities are expected to roll out in the coming months.
