Delhi Red Fort Blast: Amit Shah Holds High-Level Security Meet

New Delhi, November 11, 2025: Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level security meeting on Tuesday night following the deadly blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed nine lives and left several injured. Top officials from the Home Ministry, Intelligence Bureau (IB), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Delhi Police, and paramilitary forces attended the urgent review to assess the situation and coordinate response measures. Shah sought a detailed briefing on the preliminary findings and directed agencies to identify those behind the attack at the earliest.

The meeting focused on tightening security across the national capital, strengthening surveillance in vulnerable zones, and increasing deployment at key public locations, including metro stations, markets, and heritage sites. Amit Shah has ordered a multi-agency investigation, with teams working jointly to trace the source of the explosive material and possible sleeper cells. He appealed to citizens to remain calm but vigilant, assuring that the government is committed to ensuring safety and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
